Tom’s Grille, founded by Tom Karvounis and his son Jim Karvounis, first opened its doors in May 1999. Tom, who immigrated to the United States from Greece, brought with him a deep passion for pizza. He opened Tom's Pizza Palace in 1966 with his wife Helen, establishing a legacy that his son Jim would later follow.
Growing up in the restaurant alongside his sister, Jim developed a strong passion for cooking. With their Greek heritage, food was a core value for the Karvounis family, and Jim not only loved eating but also creating delicious steaks, pastas, and other dishes for his friends and family.

In May 1999, Tom and Jim opened Tom's Grille in North Murray. Combining Tom’s expertise in pizza with Jim’s passion for steaks and pastas, the restaurant was destined for success. Over the years, Tom’s Grille has served the community of Murray and Western Kentucky with dedication and joy. We not only offer great grilled dishes but also bring the warm hospitality of Greek culture to our community.

Sadly, Tom Karvounis passed away in 2021 at the age of 96.
